Event Overview

Race Information

Race Distance

Four lanes of approximately 400 meters long

Equipment

All necessary equipment is provided, i.e. lifejackets (M.O.T. and/or Canadian Coast Guard approved personal floatation devices), paddles and boats for practices and races.

Safety

The first priority of all competitors is the safety of their crew and all other crews involved. Assistance must be rendered as required. Race officials also reserve the right to cancel races due to inclement conditions.

Raise $$$ for Breast Cancer Causes

Team members are encouraged to raise a minimum of $200 in pledges per paddler. Pledge envelopes will be available in mid-March for Team Captains to distribute to all team members. Dollars raised at the FDJ International Dragon Boat Festival are for local and regional breast cancer causes, including the Windsor Regional Hospital, and the Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital Foundation.
