2004 "The Right Fit" Newsletter

Plans are already underway for French Dressing Jeanswear's second annual International Dragon Boats for the Cure. The event will be held in Windsor, Ontario on July 16, 17 and 18, 2004. We have moved the event to a slightly different location upriver to better ensure the safety and comfort of our paddlers. This 2004 event weekend promises to be heart-warming and most enjoyable with lots of entertaining activities on the schedule.

2004 Speaker Series

The big news is that Dr. Don McKenzie will be in attendance for the entire weekend. For those of you who aren't familiar with him, Don McKenzie is the research physician who first put Breast Cancer Survivors in Dragon Boats in 1995. As Canada's Chief Medical Officer for the 2004 Athens Olympics for the sports of Rowing and Canoeing, he will be very busy next summer and unable to attend many Dragon Boat Festivals. Therefore, we will be very fortunate and honoured to have Don with us. He will offer help, hope and humour to our participants and will aid our paddlers with his clinics in honing their Dragon Boating skills.
